Name: Washington ([personal profile] protocol)
Player: Rocket
Current LP: 10
Requested Perk(s): training: basic tech, coms access, lab tech, comsconsole access, training: weapons. ...training:arts maybe??
Notes: Wash will mostly be making use of console access to learn as much about the Cetagandan Empire as he can, as well as Barrayar, the war, and just in general trying to better understand where the fuck he's ended up and what he's been dropped in the middle of. He'll be making liberal use of the training room as being able to train in general will give him something to focus on and put his mind at ease ( he's totally the guy who's been running laps and doing bodyweight exercises since he got here ), and he'd have a pretty keen interest in understanding this foreign weapons technology. He'd probably use the com to communicate with York within the base.

RE: ARTS TRAINING OK as much as I would fucking love for Wash to learn some flower arranging or for Wash to learn how to be the next winner of Cetagandan Project Runway or Face/Off, he really probably wouldn't be genuinely interested in any of those arts. But he is interested enough in understanding the culture to at least kind of want to maybe glimpse at how things might work, fragrances what even, and I think he'd be interested in a general like Cetagandan Arts Appreciation crash course. Like, how does he even start to look at any of the art they have around, for the sake of the insight into Cetagandan culture and life it might give him. Plus he's just 100% conscious of the fact that he's complete ass at all this delicate social shit these people seem to value so much but maybe if he knows how to talk about some cool art or something maybe he might be able to avoid accidentally pissing someone off.

And maybe he'd be able to at least appreciate what they're trying to do when they dress him up, instead of just going "oh my god why is this my life". Maybe some form of self defense against Cetagandan Nina Garcia.
