[For Barrayar] location: barrayaran camp

The current location of the guerrilla camp is nestled deep in the mountains at the mouth of a cave, within about a day's hiking distance to the nearest hill village. Temperatures are colder at this elevation by at least a few degrees. Each tent houses about ten people – more if they're in limited supply. The Barrayarans keep their supply cache in the cave, a spacious hollow inside the mountain that's connected to a winding network of small caves, and it makes for a good fallback contingency in the event of discovery or attack. But don't go too deep into the caves on your own -- it's awfully easy to get lost.

1. War tent - RESTRICTED ACCESS
Piotr holds conference with his general staff in the war tent, which takes up much of his time when not commanding in action. The table is covered in hand-drawn maps, one or two more accurately rendered on plastic flimsies, and small wooden pieces scattered across the largest map as markers. Only the Countess and high-ranking officers permitted inside the war tent.

2. Vorkosigan/Vorbarra tents - RESTRICTED ACCESS
The two tents closest to the war tent house the Count and Countess, the Princess, and most of their armsmen. They're no different from any of the other tents shared by the soldiers, except that Piotr and Olivia as well as Sonia occupy cordoned-off ends of the their tents, separated by a curtain.

3. Sickbay
The sickbay is stocked with the limited medical supplies, and the equipment is rudimentary by galactic standards, though occasionally they get better medicine via sporadic supply drops and the occasional raid. There's only one operating table, the rest of the tent lined with makeshift cots for recovering soldiers. Vodka is the primary antiseptic in the Barrayaran camp.

4. Armory - RESTRICTED ACCESS
The Barrayaran armory largely contains swords and bows. They typically have a makeshift forge for repairing weapons and forging new ones if they the materials next to the armory tent, but they haven't yet managed to set up a new one in this camp.

5. Mess
The mess is comprised of one of the largest tents in camp, with a small tent affixed at one end to serve as a kitchen run by the Mess Captain. Everyone but the highest officers are expected to put in time on kitchen duty. Mealtimes are strictly enforced, four times through the 26.7 hour day, the latest being for the late guard shift. Scraps will not be handed out between meals, and God help you if you get caught trying to sneak a morsel.

6. High-ranking officer tents - RESTRICTED ACCESS
The highest-ranking officers are located closer to the Vorbarra and Vorkosigan tents and the war tent itself, largely for ease of access.

7. Outsiders tents
The outsiders now have two tents to themselves, largely due to the crippling effects of the flu epidemic. They're no longer quite so isolated from the rest of the camp.

8. Bath tent
Bathing too often isn't advisable in the dead of winter, but still necessary at times. The bath tent consists of a footed cast-iron tub over a shallow fire pit used to heat the water in the winter. However, it can take up to an hour to heat the bath, and it consumes valuable firewood -- and demand is high. It is also downwind of the stables.

9. Stables
The makeshift stables is in about as good shape anything else in camp, but it's well-organized. A few of enlisted men, mostly from the Dendarii hill villages, take shifts in caring for the cavalry horses and maintaining the stables. In the winter, the horses are covered in thick blankets to keep them warm.
