He did take it before though when taking it I mentioned initially that I wasn't sure how it'd work out ICly before replying again saying that he could probably manage it through just generally helping out people and slowly attempting to learn the language, so I think maybe that's how that got mixed up in the record? I've been assuming he's had it this whole time, but I am not sure.

And yeah, they'd mostly be using dead drops for sure but he'd met up with her most recently post the VV mission, something prearranged since they'd figured what happened after that might've been important enough to talk about in person. Paranoid as they are they'd stick mostly to the drops but I figured there'd be occasions when they might want to attempt an in person meeting. I'll keep you up to date if they decide to meet again so you know how it'd affect her roll?
